Rebecca Selleck Sustainable Crop Research Scholarship Fund
The Rebecca Selleck Sustainable Crop Endowed Graduate Research Award in Agriculture and Natural Resources will support graduate students in the Department of Plant Science and Landscape Architecture and the Department of Environmental Science and Technology in the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources that are conducting research in plant biology in the Molecular and Cellular Biology (MOCB)
concentration of the Biological Sciences Graduate Program (BISI) housed in the College of Computer, Mathematical, and Natural Sciences.
Recipient research will:
• Enhance the resilience and/or nutritional value of staple or subsistence crops that are important
dietary component for at risk populations or
• Identify novel applications of microbial partnering with food derived from plant cultivars to
enhance direct human consumption, aesthetic quality and/or nutrient availability
• Be readily transferable to small holder farmers and food preparers is preferred
• Specifically exclude animal food sources or improvements of forage and fodder crops
