Graduate Student, Kabelo Segobye, Won First Prize at NEPPSC

Kabelo Segobye, who is a graduate student in Dr. Burkhard Schulz's group at the NEPPSC conference in Philadelphia won the first prize for the Best Graduate Student Poster presentation at the meeting. The NEPPSC conference (Northeastern Plant, Pest, and Soils Conference) was the first joint conference of the Northeastern Weed Science Society, Northeastern Branches of the Entomological Society of America, American Phytopathological Society, American Society of Horticulture, American Society of Agronomy, Crop Science Society of America, and Soil Science Society of America with over 450 attendees and more than 300 submitted abstracts for poster and oral presentations. The title of his poster is “Molecular analysis of glyphosate resistance in giant ragweed (Ambrosia trifida L.)”.
